Turkish   -   Cauliflower Moussaka   adapted from The Sultan's Kitchen by Ozcan Ozan

Ingredients
  • 1 Large Cauliflower -- Coarsely Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 4 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef Or Lamb
  • 1 Can Tomato Paste
  • 1 Large Green Pepper
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon Dill
  • 1/2 Bunch Parsley -- Chopped
  • 2 Cups Beef Stock
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 1 Lemon Lemon Juice
Directions Boil cauliflour for 4 minutes, drain and set aside. Saute onion and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. add meat, saute 3 minutes, add tomato paste, cauliflower, green pepper, tomatoes, red pepper flakes, dill, parsley, stock, salt and pepper, boil, reduce heat, cover, simmer 45 minutes. stir in lemon juice, and seve over rice.
