Turkish   -   Lamb Kabobs With Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes   adapted from The Sultan's Kitchen by Ozcan Ozan

Ingredients
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 3 Pounds Lamb -- Cubed
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 4 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Can Tomato Paste
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Thyme
  • 2 Cups Beef Stock
  • 2 Medium Carrots -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Peas
  • 1 Medium Green Pepper -- Chopped
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 1/2 Bunch Parsley -- Chopped
  • Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Directions saute lamb in butter until browned on all sides. add onion and garlic, saute 5 minutes. add tomato paste, tomtatoes, thyme and stock. boil, simmer 30 minutes, add carrots, peas, peppers, salt and pepper, simmer 20 minutes. serve over mashed potatoes, sprinkled with parsley.
