Turkish   -   Lamb With White Beans   adapted from The Sultan's Kitchen by Ozcan Ozan

Ingredients
  • 1/4 Stick Butter
  • 2 Pounds Lamb -- Cubed
  • 1 Medium Onion -- Chopped
  • 4 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Diced
  • 2 Cups White Beans
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 3 Medium Pepperocini Peppers -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Bunch Parsley -- Chopped
Directions saute lamb in butter for 6 minutes. add onion and garlic, saute 5 minutes, add tomatoe paste, tomatoes, beans, red pepper flakes, stock, salt and pepper, cover and simmer 45 minutes. transfer to ovenproof dish, add peppers, cover cook 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
top with parsley and serve over rice.
