Turkish - Potatoes With Tomatoes And Peppers

Ingredients

- 3 Pounds Red Potatoes -- sliced
- 3 Tablespoons Peanut Oil
- 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 Large Onions -- chopped
- 1/2 Pound Ground Beef
- 2 Medium Anaheim Chili Pepper -- chopped
- 2 Small Jalapeno -- chopped
- 2 Large Tomatoes -- peeled ch
- 2 Sprigs Thyme
- 2 Sprigs Marjoram
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 3/4 Cup Parsley -- chopped
- 1 Large Tomato -- sliced
- 1 Cup Water

Directions

Fry potatoes in oil until done, set aside. Saute onions in butter utnil brown. Add meat and brown. Add peppers, cook 1 minute. Add toamtotes, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper, simmer 5 minutes. Add parsley, remove from heat. Preheat oven to 350* Layer 1/2 potatoes in casserole dish, spread 1/2 meat mixture, repeat. top with tomato slices, pour water over all, cook 45 minutes and serve.
