US Regional   -   Baked Onions   adapted from taste of iowa

  • 4 Large Red Onion -- sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 Can Cream Of Chicken Soup
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Teaspoons Soy Sauce
  • Salt And Pepper -- to taste
  • 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
Directions saute onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. add broth and simmer for 10 minutes. transfer to baking dish. add remaining ingredients except bread and mix well. sprinkle bread on top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
