Ingredients
|
- 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Navy Beans
- 1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
- 6 Tablespoons Dark Molasses
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3 Teaspoons Dry Mustard
- Salt And Pepper -- to taste
- 1/2 Pound Bacon -- chopped
- 1 Large Yellow Onion -- chopped

Directions

Dissolve baking soda in 2 cups of water. Add Beans, soak overnight. Drain and rinse beans. Mix vinegar, molasses, sugar, mustard, salt and pepper, and 2 cups of hot water in a medium sized bowl. Layer bacon, onion and beans in the bottom of a casserole dish. Pour Sauce over. Cover, bake 4 hours at 300*. Stirring once per hour.
