US Regional   -   Easy Fudge   adapted from A Taste of Georgia

  • 3 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 3 Cups Powdered Sugar -- Sifted
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Nuts -- Chopped (Optional)
Directions Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, blend in half of powdered sugar, beat in egg and extract, add remaining sugar and nuts, press into a 9 inch square pan, lined with wax paper. chill for 2 hours and serve.
