Ingredients
  • 2 Pounds Sweet Italian Sausage Or Beef -- Crumbled
  • 4 Ounces Pancetta -- Chopped
  • 1 Large Onion -- Chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Fennel Seed
  • 1 Teaspoon Saffron
  • 2 Cans Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Red Wine
  • 1 Can Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 Cup Basil -- Chopped
  • Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
  • 2 Pounds Fettucine
  • Parmesan Cheese
Directions Saute meat and pancetta for 15 minutes. Add onion, garlic, fennel and saffron. Saute for 15 more minutes. Add tomatoes, red wine and tomato paste. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add basil, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1 minute. Cook pasta as directed. Toss pasta with sauce and pass the parmesan cheese.
