Ingredients
|
- 1 Cup Oil
- 2 Large Onion -- finely chopped
- 1 Large Bell Pepper -- finely chopped
- 3 Stalks Celery -- finely chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Garlic -- finely chopped
- 16 Ounces Tomato Puree
- 1 Tablespoon Creole Mustard
- 1/4 Cup White Vinegar
- 4 Teaspoons Cayenne
- 1 Teaspoon Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 Medium Bay Leaf
- 2 Teaspoons Pepper
- 1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar -- packed
- 1/4 Cup Molasses

Directions
|
Place oil in saucepan, then saute onion, pepper, celery and garlic until soft. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Adjust seasonings and simmer for 15 minutes more. Let rest for 1 hour.
