US Regional   -   Red Bean And Corn Dumplings ( Mohawk)   adapted from Enduring Harvest by Kavasch

  • 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Kidney Beans -- Cooked
  • 2 Eggs -- Beaten With
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Oil
  • 3 Tablespoons Hot Broth
Directions assemble all ingrendents and mix well to form a batter; drop batter in generous spoonfulls into any simmering soup. simmer for 20 minutes; serve
