US Regional   -   Sage Bread (Native American)   adapted from Ethnic Breads

Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 Teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 2/3 Cups Bread Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Dried Sage -- or ***
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Sage
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
  • 1/3 Cup Onion -- finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
Directions Place all ingredients in machine according to manual directions. Process on bread cycle following instructions.
