US Regional   -   Snowy Vanilla Pecan Crescents (Pueblo)   adapted from Enduring Harvest by Kavasch

  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Sticks Butter -- Softened
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 1/4 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Pecans
Directions preheat oven to 325; cream half sugar into butter; add salt and vanilla; add flour, oats and nuts, blend well; place dough by the tablespoon on ungreased cookie sheet; shape into crescents; bake for 15 minutes; remove to wire rack and sift powdered sugar over the top.
Serves 36
