Uzbek - Guishit Palov (Bukharen Beef Plov)

Ingredients
|
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 Large Onion -- Chopped
- 2 Pounds Beef -- Cubed
- 6 Large Carrot -- Chopped
- 2 1/2 Cups Rice
- 3 Cups Beef Stock
- Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
- 2 Teaspoons Turmeric
- 2 Teaspoons Cumin

Directions
|
Saute onions and beef in oil until the beef is browned. Add carrots, rice and stock. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, turmeric and cumin. Stir gently. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Serve.
