Vietnamese   -   Pork Chops With Tomato Sauce (Heo Ram Sot Ca)   adapted from The Classic Cuisine of Vietnam by Ngo and Zimmerman

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 6 Medium Pork Chops
  • 3 Tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 3/4 Cup Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 Cloves Garlic -- finely chopped
Directions Saute pork chops in oil until brown on both sides. About 30 minutes. Combine in small bowl, remainign ingredients. Add to pan, bring to boil, simer uncovered 10 minutes.
Serves 6
