Vietnamese   -   Taro Soup With Pork   adapted from The Classic Cuisine of Vietnam by Ngo and Zimmerman

  • 6 Ounces Ground Pork
  • 2 Large Scallions -- chopped
  • Salt And Pepper -- to taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro -- chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 Pound Taro Root -- peeled & sliced
  • 1 Quart Water
  • 2 Medium Scallion -- chopped
Directions Combien pork, scallions, salt pepper and fish sauce. Shape into meat balls. Bring water to boil, Add meatballs and taro root. Boil 15 mintues. Sprinkle with cilantro and scallions and serve with rice.
