Vietnamese   -   Vietnamese Beef With Leeks   adapted from Winter Harvest Cookbook by Lane Morgan

  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 Teaspoon Honey
  • 1 Medium Green Onion -- Chopped
  • 1 Pound Steak -- Cubed
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 Medium Leek -- Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro
Directions Combine soy sauce, fish sauce, cornstarch, honey and green onions in a shallow bowl. Add beef and marinate for 1 hour. Heat oil in skillet, drain meat, add to oil and cook for 5 minutes. Add leeks and cook briefly about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro and serve over rice.
