Ingredients
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Small Asian Eggplants -- Chopped
  • 1 Bunch Scallion -- Chopped
  • 2 Medium Jalapeno -- Chopped
  • 2 Medium Carrot -- Chopped
  • Hot Sauce -- To Taste
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Anise Seed -- Ground
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup Basil -- Chopped
  • Rice Or Noodles -- Cooked
Directions Saute beef until brown, add oil, eggplant, scallions, jalapenos, and carrots. Saute for 5 minutes. Add hot sauce, broth, soy sauce, fish sauce, anise and cinnamon. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add basil and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.
