Ingredients
  • 1 Pound Ground Pork
  • 1/2 Pound Shrimp -- Chopped
  • 1 Medium Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Peanut Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 3 Cloves Garlic -- Chopped
  • 1 Large Scallion -- Chopped
  • 1 Can Tomatoes -- Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 4 Medium French Bread Rolls -- Sliced
Directions Mix pork, shrimp, egg, fish sauce, water, sugar, both oils, pepper, cornstarch garlic and scallion. Form into 12 meatballs. Saute meatballs until well browned on all sides. Meanwhile combine tomatoes, water, fish sauce, ketchup, sugar and cornstarch. Simmer until well thickened about 15-20 minutes. Place meatballs in rolls and lather on the sauce.
